You're Never Going Home
The upper docks are a set of wooden piers that were designed to service small flat bottomed river skiffs for transporting grains down the river from outlying farms. At the docks the freight is loaded onto wagons and then brought into the city via the cranes. During the harvest months these docks see a great deal of use. They were entirely destroyed in the winters flooding and have just recently been replaced. The Lord Mayor is trying to incentivize colonists moving into the coastal plains by offering land grants to those with the knowledge and willingness to leave the city. Part of these incentives is free transport of product from farm to city via these docks.
